In a recent Travelodge survey it has been revealed that wedding guests costs could be £800 in 2016.  2,000 respondents’ views tell us that the cost of attending one wedding is setting us back approximately £407.83 per person.

45% of Britons will be attending two weddings this year racking up the costs to £815.64 per guest!  Wedding gifts, a new outfits (most spend around £70), beauty treatments, accommodation, travel and reception drinks all contribute, and this is before we’ve added on the hen & stag parties!  No wonder 25% are declining wedding invitations because they simply can’t afford to attend.

The biggest spenders are Londoners who are forking out £487 per wedding, whilst Aberdeen guests spend the least at a mere £123.92.  Think we need to learn some lessons here.

They took the name of the Blue Mountain Golf Club literally in theming the finer details and we especially love the tables with the matching chair sashes, table names, and scrummy cupcakes.

Now we love a themed wedding at WIS Towers – but we couldn’t contain our excitement when this Dr Who wedding theme landed in our Inbox from Chris Mann of Chris Mann Photography.

Caroline and James are huge Dr Who fans, so much so their guest of honour was The Tardis.  Following the theme through to the place cards and wedding cake,  I would like to lay bets on how many times the words “Exterminate Exterminate” were said!

The wedding was held at the gorgeous venue Gate Street Barn, abundant with beams in a country setting – a perfect location for the tardis to land.  Touches of English country garden hydrangeas in a soft pink complemented the bridesmaids looking gorgeous in midnight blue.

The oh so romantic James sereneded his new wife with an acoustic set with his band Satonica

Feast your eyes….
